In addition to the space, what other benefits does Grace provide artists and performers?
Why does Grace do this?
As Episcopalians, we believe wholeheartedly in the “beauty of holiness”. For us this means that all beauty participates in the sacred nature of life and creation. When we create beauty, we touch the creative beauty of the Creator of all that is: God. Humanity is at its finest when we are making art in all its manifestations: from portraiture to photography to performance art to imaginative intellectual invention.
We believe that we have an obligation - and an honor - to support the arts in this community by supporting those amateur and talented artists/performers who might otherwise not have a venue to share their gifts and accomplishments.
Grace Episcopal Church has inherited a splendid physical space in an excellent downtown location. We are responsible to be good stewards of this gift and that includes making sure it is utilized to the fullest capacity possible.
This is one way that Grace Episcopal Church, and its members, can be good neighbors to our community. We are honored to do so.
I’m interested. Now what?
