Lay Eucharistic Ministers

Come let us sing to the Lord; let us shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come before God’s presence with thanksgiving and raise to the Lord a shout with psalms.” (Psalm 95:1-2)

Untold generations have called one another to gather in the name of the Holy One of blessing, to rejoice and pray, to lament and sing: to worship.  We continue in that great cloud of witnesses to this very day: gathering, praying, singing, listening, speaking… We step away from busy lives, opening heart mind and soul to meet God in sacred space.

We are helped in this central work of the human spirit by our companions on the Way: Eucharistic Ministers.  These dedicated volunteers have committed themselves to faithful preparation and generous service in the liturgy.  When they do this, they serve God and their neighbors.  They are a living witness to the two greatest commandments: “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength; love your neighbor as yourself.”

We give thanks for them.
